tbt... family.

throwback to one of my favorite nights.



november of 2006

i was living with my sister in the city

{one of her best ideas ever.}

and we threw a vegan pizza surprise family 25th anniversary party

for two of the world's most wonderful parents.

it's nights like this i miss,

times spent laughing and talking and sharing

with our wonderful family.

it's something that i take for granted sometimes.

it's just so normal for us to have this closeness, this warmness,

we're all part of this unconditional loving club.

but when i stop to think about it

and those i know who did not feel that way,

who did not have that bond

that family

i realize how truly lucky i am.

i would not trade that for anything.

so there we were - november 2006,

a celebration of 25 years.

a celebration of love.

of family.

of support.

of strength.

of sweetness.

and here i am, over 6 years later.

and so much has changed since that day.

our family has had trials,

has seen loss,

has cried tears.

but as hard as it's been, and as much as i miss that day...

the luckiest part is that i still feel it,

that unconditional love.

and no matter what,

i'm still in the club.
